MOVATI ATHLETIC MEMBER ETIQUETTE

Our mission at MOVATI Athletic is to consistently deliver an experience that makes our members, staff, and guests feel welcome, feel comfortable, and feel healthy. Our established guidelines and policies will optimize every member’s health and fitness experience. Respectful and courteous conduct is expected by all members, staff, and guests. Aggressive and/or inappropriate conduct, including offensive/vulgar language directed towards any person in the club, will not be tolerated.

  • Wipe down (wipes provided throughout the club) and return your equipment to the proper place when finished.
  • Remove winter outdoor footwear in lobby; do not wear wet, soiled, dirty outdoor boots throughout the club.
  • Chalk is not permitted to be used on equipment.
  • If you need to talk on your phone, move to the lobby area for privacy and to avoid disruption to other members.
  • To avoid spills and breakage, only secured, non-glass drinking containers are permitted in the entire club.
  • Personal photography and videography are permitted; however, all individuals must respect the privacy of others. The capture of photos or videos that include MOVATI Athletic patrons or staff without their explicit consent is strictly prohibited. Additionally, photography and videography are strictly prohibited in locker rooms, washrooms, saunas, and steam rooms. The use of tripods and other camera or video equipment is also prohibited.
  • For the privacy of all children in our youth programs, capturing photos and/or videos during any youth program activity (including swim lessons) is strictly prohibited.
  • Proper athletic attire is always required, including shirts and shoes, unless noted otherwise in the specific area.
  • Appropriate fitting bathing suits must be worn in the pool area (undergarments are not permitted). Material including spandex, neoprene, and lycra are acceptable. Accommodation for religious dress requirements must fall within these guidelines.
  • MOVATI Athletic personal trainers and instructors are the only authorized professionals to provide coaching, nutritional consultation, and/or program design within the club.
  • No gym bags are allowed beyond the changeroom; lock up your belongings in one of the lockers available for day use only.
  • MOVATI Athletic is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Sharing of membership cards will result in immediate termination of membership.
  • Swiping of your membership barcode is required upon entry to the club.
Studio Fitness Etiquette

  • Group fitness classes are open to reservations 73 hours before the class begins; reservations are completed through the MOVATI app and Member website.
  • No late entry will be permitted. We must start our classes on time to allow you and others an opportunity to enjoy the full experience.
  • Arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of class to secure your reservation. If you have pre-registered and fail to arrive before the 5-minute warning, your access to the class will only be granted on the remaining availability. (First-come, first-served basis).
  • Members who are on standby will be invited to enter 3 minutes before the class starts and you may lose your spot if you have not been checked in yet.
  • A 2 hour cancellation policy is in effect. You cannot cancel less than 2 hours prior to your class and will be considered a no-show.
  • Any member who fails to attend a booked class three (3) times in 14 days will be automatically suspended from booking any Group Fitness classes for a 14-day period. Members who are suspended from reserving classes online may still attend a Group Fitness class as a walk-in, if spots are available.
  • For Aqua fitness classes, please speak to the front desk to ask how the club will be checking for confirmation of booking.
  • Once the “no entry” sign is outside the studio door, the class has begun, and late entries will not be permitted into the class.
  • Cell phones and personal items should be kept in day-use lockers provided; cell phones are not permitted in Yoga classes. Locks are available for purchase at our front desk.
  • You are required to bring their own Yoga props (blocks, mats, straps); towel and water are recommended for Hot Yoga.
  • If you need to leave a class early, please inform the instructor in advance.
  • For your safety and the safety of other members, fitness studio doors are locked when not in use.
Steam Room & Sauna Etiquette

  • Refrain from conducting personal hygiene (ex. shaving, nail clipping, applying lotions or perfumes, hair dying etc).
  • Users must be fully covered in a towel or bathing suit.
  • It is recommended users under the age of 17 not use the steam room and/or sauna.
  • Pregnant women and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure should not use the steam room and/or sauna.
  • No food or glass containers are allowed.
  • Do not tamper with the temperature gauge and/or sauna rocks.
  • Capturing photos and/or videos is strictly prohibited.
Guest Pass Policy

  • Guests must be over the age of 13 and signed into the club by an adult. Please note proof of age may be required to confirm 13 years of age or older.
  • Adult guests must provide government-issued photo ID as well as complete the digital MOVATI Athletic liability waiver upon entry.
  • Check with your club regarding day pass fees and the time day passes are available to activate.
  • All day pass options are valid for same-day use only (club-specific hours apply).
  • All guests must comply with MOVATI Athletic Member Etiquette.
MOVATI Recharge Policy

Noise Policy

To maintain a serene environment, we kindly ask that all members observe the following:

  • Keep Voices Low: Conversations should be kept to a whisper.
  • Silence Your Devices: phones, tablets, and other electronics must be on silent mode.
  • No loud music: Personal music devices can only be used with headphones on low volume.

Reservation Policy

  • Members who have purchased Recharge Services can book up to 2 weeks before the session start time.
  • Members can reserve up to three 30-minute sessions per day.
  • Recharge reservations require a 24-hour cancellation notice or members will be charged a $20 no-show fee.
Cancellation Policy

  • Thirty (30) days' notice to the club of Cancellation of Recharge service. You must either deliver the termination notice to an employee of MOVATI Athletic or send it by registered mail to MOVATI Athletic at the Club’s address. Upon receipt of the termination notice, you will be entitled to continue to use the Recharge Service for a period of thirty (30) days. You hereby agree to make all regular instalment payments due to the Club that fall within the 30-day notice period for cancellation or termination of this Service.
Waitlist Policy

  • The Waitlist Policy is in effect when the Recharge Studio has reached its maximum capacity. If you would like to be on the waitlist for this service, please fill out this form: Recharge Waitlist Form. The waitlist is serviced on a first come, first serve basis. The order in which you submit your name will be the order in which you are invited to join MOVATI Recharge. Once selected, you will receive an email from Recharge@movatiathletic.com. You will have 48 hours from email receipt to claim your spot and purchase the service. If no response is received within 48 hours, you may remain on the waitlist, but will have forfeited your spot on the waitlist, returning to the bottom. If you wish to be removed from the waitlist, please email Recharge@movatiathletic.com.
Failure to comply with MOVATI Athletic Member Etiquette, may result in membership suspension and/or termination.
